Will is sent out of town for two months for an engineering job. Winnie follows and gets a job as a waitress in the hotel where he is staying.; A waitress at the hotel feels slighted when Will doesn't ask her for a date. Will's boss has him escort his daughter, which makes Winnie jealous.; Will tries to get Winnie fired from her waitress job at the hotel by taking the boss's daughter to dinner.; Will tries to tell Mr. Boniface, Winnie's boss, that she is married. Will's trying to get her fired since the hotel doesn't employ married women. Boniface doesn't believe him and Winnie is promoted to hotel social director.; Will wants Winnie to quit her job at the hotel. The hotel manager, not knowing Winnie is married, proclaims his love for her.; Mr. Boniface continues to try to court Winnie, making Will jealous.; At Mr. Boniface's request, Winnie wears her hair in an upswept style. After all the other women copy the style, he agrees with her request to go back to her old hairstyle.; After Will sees Mr. Boniface take Winnie for a ride in his car at night, he goes to Boniface's office the next day for a confrontation. Winnie defuses the situation by saying that the two are engaged. To complicate things, Bill's boss's daughter Kay is in love with Bill.; When Bill's boss comes to visit, he thinks Bill has been leading his daughter on and fires him. Mr. Boniface learns that Winnie and Bill are married, and fires her from the hotel.
