Kohaku attempts to jump to his death to force Magatsuhi out of his body. But he only succeeds in jumping into Naraku's hands.; Kagome discovers that Magatsuhi has further suppressed her spiritual powers. Sesshomaru goes after Magatsuhi alone.; Kagome returns to the twentieth century to take her high school entrance exams. However, Inuyasha comes to the present the day of the exam, determined to bring her back to the fifteenth century.; With Kagome, Inuyasha and Sesshomaru away, Magatsuhi attacks Kaede's village, attempting to take Kohaku's shard and complete the Shikon Jewel.; Magatsuhi possesses Kohaku and causes him to mortally wound Miroku, Sango and Rin.; Despite her wounds, Sango seeks out Naraku in order to destroy him and keep Miroku and Kohaku from dying at his hands.; Kagome, Inuyasha and Sango fight to wake Kohaku up before Magatsuhi can take the shard from him.; Sesshomaru destroys Magatsuhi's physical form, but the demon's spirit takes refuge in Miroku and Rin. Naraku captures Kagome and holds her as a shield against Inuyasha's power so he can retrieve Kohaku's shard.; Kohaku hands himself over to Naraku in order to save Kagome.; Using one of Kagome's arrows to channel the spirit of Kikyo, Kohaku forces Naraku to flee into the clouds.
