At an auction, Dot bids for (and wins) a scrap of cloth with dots all over it. She soon discovers that the cloth can be stretched an enormous amount, leading to all kinds of creations.; Dot experiments with her Uncle's new invention, a device that can make her invisible. As a result, she overhears less-than-flattering conversations about her among her friends. In every case, though, it turns out they were talking about another "Dot".; Dot helps Lotta keep her uncle company. It's not an easy task, though. Her uncle's job involves defusing bombs, which makes him hyper-nervous at all times.; Richie overhears his father assigning Cadbury to watch over Richie. So, Richie spends the rest of the day trying to stymie Cadbury in his assignment. Eventually, Richie finally seems to have given his pursuer the slip. Or maybe not.; Babysitter Lotta has to get her charge out of an empty house.
