Without realizing it, Sad Sack twice flattens the Sarge's car with a tank.; When Sarge confines Sack and Slob to the camp for two weeks as punishment, they discover how much they enjoy the recreational activities. After their restriction is over and they leave the camp, they are caught trying to sneak back by climbing the fence.; The General is inspired by the Roman orator Stentor, but over practices his delivery and loses his voice while addressing the troops in front of the congressman.; Sad Sack is sent into town on a simple errand but forgets to use the parking brake on the jeep when he returns. The jeep rolls into a truck of explosives, catching a building on fire. General Hall then requires another errand into town.; The General is bored with sports on the camp and is enthused to go on a hike with the men, who are perplexed by his attitude.; Sadie and Gertie are working night-shift in Supply and the Sarge leaves early for her quarters to watch TV. When Sarge calls the supply hut and asks for a 'fuse' because her power is out and can't watch TV, Sadie thinks she said 'shoes' and brings a box of size 12 shoes to an irate Sgt. Blast.; Sad Sack misses a promotion offer because he puts cotton in his ears to avoid hearing Sarge yell at him.
