After his transformation into the Ray, Happy hastily insists that his old self was "dead", but soon resumed his career as a newspaper reporter, trailing a band of old vaudeville freaks who are in alliance with one Miss White.; Bozo's creator, von Thorp, returns after freeing himself from prison, and reclaims the robot by inventing a device which overrides Hazzard's own controls. Hazzard overcomes this obstacle by once again hiding in the robot, which returns to the evil doctor's lair. However, this time von Thorp is not fooled, captures Hazzard and throws him into a flooded room, where he survives by using a pipe as a straw to breath fresh air. Hazzard reassumes control of the robot, von Thorp flees and is shot to death by the Police.; Midnight investigates shoddy construction projects that have been built by a man named Carleton after the collapse of a building owned by Carleton. Carleton captured Midnight and tied him to a crumbling dam......but Midnight escaped when the dam cracked, and he then warned the town below, captured Carleton and secured $10 million for the town's relief.; Thurston must face the evil Dr. Moku, who has invented a special light that makes the Invisible Hood visible!; The Scarlet Seal is successful in negotiating a resolution between two Chinese Tongs to prevent a war between them. The war had been designed by a Fifth Columnist who was killed in the end by the Chinese, but the Seal takes the blame for the killing.; Magno pursues a goon by diving into the depths of a swamp and uncovering a labyrinth, where dozens of prisoners have been transformed by a madman. Magno overthrows this man and destroys the complex with his magnetic powers.
