In Prague, glass blowing apprentice Anton wants to win the heart of the snobbish Maria. He obtains the finest quartz (from an unhallowed graveyard!) and blows a masterpiece, a satyr's head. Anton also goes insane in the process. Seeing the devilish satyr in everyone, he goes on a killing spree. He dies falling into a vat with boiling glass.; Dick Manson has a horrible car accident, but remains unhurt. He is stalked by a mysterious woman who wants to drag him into the afterlife. The woman is death, and Manson struggles through a delirium for his life. Manson manages to hold on to life, because the love of his fiancées protects him. For the time being...; In the basement of the Paris opera house, the vampire/diva Madame Pourette comes alive again. Posing as her own niece, she starts to sing again (and suck blood when the show's over). Only the old concierge Pepe knows the truth and can finally impale her and send Madame to her final rest again.; Walter Fontane, a struggling ambitious writer, is invited by a mysterious "keeper of the scripts" called Ishmael to a world of literature masterpieces. Fontane does not want to pay the price and tries to steal his finished manuscript. Stepping into the street, Fontane is run down by a truck and killed instantly.; "In the year 1926, John Buxton, a struggling young artist, was on a holiday trip in New England..." At the local museum Buxton finds a portrait of a local painter looking exactly like him. He even painted the same motives.; "In 1912, one of the most acclaimed actresses of the european stage was Emily Sargent..." She dies in a car crash the day before performing. The performance proceeds though, because her ghost goes on stage.
