Though warned by Archie of the monsters that live on Bleak Island, the girls still take a boat over for a picnic. While there, they have a close encounter with a baby dinosaur and his mother.; Everyone hates the sloppy clothes that Veronica is wearing, except Archie. He loves it, until Betty copies her style. Then he tells Betty she looks like "something the cat wouldn't drag in!" Archie shows up later beaten up.; Archie umpires an all-girl baseball game at the Riverdale picnic, and is the only winner when the game gets rained out.; Veronica starts working out, so she can eat more ice cream.; Archie receives letters from Veronica, who's on a South American vacation. Each letter contains a picture of Veronica with a different local guy.; Veronica models six different bathing suits for Archie. One of them is even for swimming.; Shrimpy goes into the high grass in the outfield to catch a ball, but doesn't come back.; Betty wants to attract Archie by getting a perfume that smells like gasoline, because "Archie is just crazy about cars."
