Betty at first refuses to be Archie's second choice, but then decides to date him and take him to the same place Veronica is with the other boy.; When Jughead hears Betty and Veronica are buying fresh tomatoes for tomato sauce, he volunteers to make his family's special recipe sauce for them.; Betty promises Jughead a steak dinner if he can deliver Archie to the same dinner.; Suzie trades one-liners with a hobo looking for a handout.; The Principal conducts locker inspections and doesn't like what he finds.; Veronica wins a student vote for best dressed coed.; Katy is unable to be home in time to make dinner for Sis, so she allows her younger sibling to make a sandwich on her own.; Mr. Lodge tries to get Veronica to sit in the chair correctly while she talks to Archie over the phone.; Archie asks Betty when Veronica will go dancing with him again.; Veronica wants to help Betty out, but there are some things she'd rather do herself.
