Slats is afraid he's Hortense's type and runs off when she arrives. Slats Then tells Wilbur he's holding out for Laurie. When Slats run into Linda later he asks her when her friend is going to ask him to the dance. Linda asks out Slats on her friends behalf. It isn't until the night of the dance that Slats finds out it's Hortense she was speaking for, not Laurie.; Archie plants a tree.; Archie plays with a yo-yo while waiting for Veronica, but its Mr. Lodge who proves to the master of the stringed toy.; As Archie sits on a park bench, people keep mistaking him for someone named "Clarence" and belting him one. Then Archie meets a guy who looks exactly like him and says this is his bench... but this guy's name is "Perkin Warbeck," and he also calls Archie "Clarence." As the story ends, Archie is starting to think he might really be Clarence after all.; Archie and Veronica are playing badminton until the birdie gets stuck in a tree.; Archie tears up Riverdale looking for his lucky baseball cap.; Archie has a job delivering pizzas and the owner is nervous when Archie's delivery is to the chief of police.; Everyone has one-name nicknames except Jughead.; Archie thinks the teachers and faculty are depressed on the last day of school but they are really happy to be done with the school year.; Archie takes Leroy to a sports card show.; Archie as various super heroes.; Reggie tries to annoy Archie, who's working at a gas station.
