Betty watches Veronica flirting aggressively with a handsome boy at the beach and wishes she could be that bold.; Betty is upset when Veronica breaks up the girls' weekly backgammon game for a date with her new boyfriend George. She explains to her mother that she and Veronica are friendly rivals for Archie, but this new boys is disrupting the routine.; Betty gets a job modeling swimsuits and shows up at the beach in the suits, which she is allowed to keep. Veronica is jealous and gets her father to have her hired to replace Betty. However, the modeling that Veronica is doing is quite different than that of Betty's.; All the boys want Betty to play sports with them on the beach. When Betty asks them why they never ask Veronica to play, they say that Veronica's time to play is after dark as a "party girl" and a "disco demon."
