Veronica gets her father to use his influence to have Betty hired as a lifeguard, so Veronica would be the only choice. Later Veronica falls off a jet ski and has to be rescued by Betty, leading to an unexpected cover photo for the magazine.; Archie takes Veronica to the beach, but when Veronica doesn't want to do anything but work on her tan, he ends up spending most of the day with Betty.; Betty and Veronica challenge Archie and Jughead to a game of croquet, which quickly turns into chaos.; After Veronica's father orders her to do her skateboarding outside, Smithers and Mr. Lodge take a shot at riding the skateboard themselves.
